A Typical TEM Acquisition Cycle

The right TEM application can be absolutely transformative: providing the solid ground and visibility necessary to leverage significant and proactive cost savings in an area where most enterprises have historically lacked real control.

Building a successful strategy for acquiring and implementing a TEM solution is no small effort. Finding the right application and the right vendor should take time: but our research indicates that a typical TEM Assessment and Acquisition cycle requires about 10 months

  • Part of problem is limited bandwidth and an inability to dedicate any telecom staff to the process full time;
  • Another challenge is the lack of sufficient vocabulary and domain expertise necessary to separate fact from fiction when dealing with so many different vendor options.

When TEM newbies don't realize this, it typically results in arduous implementations, process “shoehorning” and a sluggish ROI.

Is it worth it? Absolutely! The right application for your environment can have a rapid ROI and give telecom managers the visibility they need to cut corporate telecom spending by 20% or more. It is absolutely worth it, but it takes the right approach, the right product and the right expertise all working together.
