Current Process Assessment

Ultimately the key to managing a telecom budget really comes down to having the ability to make smart choices in sourcing and ordering. Half the battle is in establishing sound processes that lead to enhanced visibility and enforcing solid policies. A best practices approach allows your team to trust the ordering, inventory and cost data they look at on a daily basis.

We perform a comprehensive review of how internal service requests flow from request to order to fulfillment all the way through to invoice payment. We do this for everything from Long Distance calling codes to SONET rings; from wireless to international WANs.

We do this by conducting interviews with key staff and management. We also look at data flows and databases. Our interview processes are designed to educate TeleFirma on our client's organizations and applications, but also engage key stakeholder in building and owning better processes.

Visibility Analysis

Upon completion of the documentation process, TeleFirma will provide an in-depth analysis of each process flow; we will identify gaps in current practices that lead to lowered visibility; we will assess risk in each service category.

We repeatedly leverage this analysis in each of our larger consulting engagement.

Telecom Financial Management Charter

After we step through these processes, we will sit down with your organization and talk about business objectives and the type of environment you would like to have.

The Telecom Financial Management Charter document, collaboratively developed, guides all next steps. It educates leadership; If the business case can be made, the Charter sets the stage for an RFI or RFP to go out and get an outside audit, a managed solution or even a TEM application. It also serves as the baseline document for a Sarbanes-Oxley compliant Business Process and Policy Manual.
