After our client selects a vendor, TeleFirma can provide support in several areas.
One of the things we do early in our set of processes is the Cost Management Analysis. That process is designed to identify areas where budget dollars are leaking away. But we can actually flip that data into the information that the vendor is going to need to implement the solution. Billing history; A correct allocation schema; an invoice consolidation plan; key accounting system data; Business Rules; contract data and more ready for the vendor at contract signing. Capturing all they require after the kick-off meeting can add a couple of months to the process.

Implementation Project Management Support
We are obviously available to support the implementation effort, but we also believe that it is very important for our clients to lead the implementation effort. Your team needs to understand the application and get to know the vendor.
Implementation is difficult for many reasons. Primarily telecom staffs have daily responsibilities that take a higher priority. But it's also because a TEM application touches multiple business processes in Finance, HR, AP and Telecom shops simultaneously at multiple levels and with interests that are both competing and compelling. Trying to get everybody in the same room, let alone on the same page is a bit of a magic act.
We will be there to support both implementation and training on an as-needed basis, but our experience is that your own PM is better suited to navigate organizational and operational issues.
In spite of what many well-meaning TEM vendors will tell you, there is not a solution out there that will solve all of a client's problems. In many cases, it will take retooling of existing business processes and enforcing new policy in order to optimize the value of the TEM solution and facilitate the promised Return on Investment.
After our clients select a solution, the process reengineering piece can begin in take shape. As importantly, process redesign has to be done in ways that limits downtime risks and is transparent to internal customers.
